Dear Dennison Community,

“Being a role model is the most powerful form of educating….” John Wooden

“Being a role model is a privilege.” Allyson Felix

It is a privilege to be a role model for each other and our students!  I appreciate all of you for taking the opportunity to slow down, breathe, and model expectations and care for our students.  My view of life is that everything provides us a learning opportunity and being a good example of how to do life well is one of the best ways we teach others.

Ongoing learning opportunities:

    Encouraging when times are tough

Smiling when someone is needing a friend

Using our words to lift  up, not tear down

Modeling and following school rules –playground, lunchroom, drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Talk with your students and encourage them to tell you about times they are being a positive role model in school.  These are the moments that bring out the best of our humanity.

Please continue to access the Dennison website, our marquee, and Peach Jar which is our main communication tool for DEC/PTA news, community events, etc.

Enjoy the upcoming weekend.
